Jinxi Chunlei Copper Industry & Chunlei Copper Semis Help Create the "2026 China Copper Alloy Material Procurement Guide"

Published: Jun 27, 2025 15:13

As a critical material in fields such as aerospace, integrated circuits, and high-speed rail transportation, high-end copper alloys have become increasingly prominent in their strategic significance. Despite China's continuous leadership in global copper semis production and consumption for several years, with a self-sufficiency rate of 96% for general-purpose copper semis, high-end copper alloy products still heavily rely on imports. To address this "chokehold" challenge, SMM recently launched an initiative for industrial resource integration, collaborating with upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain, as well as research institutions, to meticulously produce the "2026 China Copper Alloy Materials Sourcing Guide", aiming to advance the localisation process of high-end copper alloy materials and facilitate the transition from a "material powerhouse" to a "material power". In this endeavor, Taiyuan Jinxi Chunlei Copper Industry Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Chunlei Copper Semis Co., Ltd. actively participated as partners in the joint production of the sourcing guide, jointly promoting the healthy and rapid upgrading of China's copper alloy materials industry chain.

Established in 2010, Taiyuan Jinxi Chunlei Copper Industry Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D and production of copper alloy strips for high-precision lead frames. Affiliated with Jinxi Industrial Group of China North Industries Group Corporation, it stands as an advanced enterprise in China's copper alloy materials industry. Its leading products find applications in consumer electronics, communications, PV, and other fields, encompassing multiple series of alloy grades such as Cu-Fe-P, Cu-Ni-Sn, and Cu-Ni-Si. Some of its products have been listed in the "Shanxi Province New Material Boutique" and "Shanxi Boutique" catalogues.

The company boasts an annual production capacity of 30,000 mt of high-precision copper and copper alloy plate/sheet and strip, with key processes utilizing imported equipment. Its overall equipment installation level ranks among the advanced in China, providing reliable support for the R&D and production of high-end products. It possesses provincial-level enterprise technology centers, provincial engineering research centers, and other R&D platforms, and has been recognized as a key national "Little Giant" enterprise specializing in precision and novelty.

Guided by technological innovation, the company continuously increases its R&D investment, promotes product transformation and upgrading, optimizes its product structure, and drives the high-quality development of the copper alloy industry for lead frames.

Shanxi Chunlei Copper Semis Co., Ltd., located in the north of Yicheng County, Shanxi Province, is affiliated with Jinxi Industrial Group Co., Ltd. of China North Industries Group Corporation. It is a copper and copper alloy manufacturing enterprise integrating R&D and production, deeply integrated with military and civilian applications, and supporting bullets and rockets. It has an annual production capacity of 40,000 mt of copper plate/sheet and strip.

The company is a high-tech enterprise and the third batch of innovative pilot enterprises in Shanxi Province. In 2021, it was awarded the title of a national "Little Giant" enterprise specializing in precision and novelty. Its technology center serves as a provincial enterprise technology center in Shanxi Province, a high-performance copper alloy enterprise technology center of the first batch of new material industry integration and innovation service platforms in Shanxi Province, and a copper and copper alloy product development center of China North Industries Group Corporation. The company has obtained ISO9000 quality system certification, IATF16949 automotive parts system certification, and 14064 and 14067 carbon footprint certifications, and possesses all four certificates required for military product research, development, and production. Products such as copper-nickel-tin and copper-nickel-{{silicon}} are widely used in rail transit, 5G communications, high-end connectors, energy, and other related fields. Some patented products have replaced imports and filled gaps in the market.

Indirect Iran-US Nuclear Talks in Muscat Show Progress, Omani FM Mediates Tense but Efficient Discussions
After intensive indirect consultations, the new round of nuclear talks between Iran and the US in Muscat, the capital of Oman, has achieved phased progress. It is reported that during this round of talks, the Iranian and US delegations did not meet directly. Instead, Omani Foreign Minister Badr acted as an intermediary, conveying a series of core proposals, strategic concerns, and policy positions to the other side. The atmosphere at the talks was tense yet efficient. According to preliminary on-site assessments, although both sides continue to negotiate over specific terms, they have reached a consensus on the key objective of "continuing dialogue."
