[Mercedes-Benz's Leng Yan: Mercedes-Benz to Produce All-New Pure Electric MPV in Fujian] On June 25, at the 2025 Global New Energy Vehicle Cooperation and Development (Shanghai) Forum, Leng Yan, Executive Vice President of Mercedes-Benz (China), stated that starting from 2025, Mercedes-Benz will gradually commence production of China-exclusive all-new pure electric long-wheelbase CLA car models, as well as an all-new luxury pure electric MPV based on the VAN.EA platform. Among them, the all-new pure electric long-wheelbase CLA car model is the first mass-produced model of Mercedes-Benz's MMA platform, equipped with an 800V high-voltage system, a two-speed gearbox, and achieving an energy conversion rate from battery to wheel of up to 93%, with an electricity consumption of 12 kWh per 100 kilometers. To accelerate the electrification transformation of light commercial vehicles, Mercedes-Benz will produce an all-new pure electric MPV based on the VAN.EA platform in Fujian, further enriching its localized product lineup for both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
