Shanghai (Gasgoo)- At its new product launch event on June 26, 2025, Xiaomi officially launched the YU7 model—its first all-electric SUV—marking a significant milestone for the company's automotive ambitions.
Within just three minutes upon market launch, the model surpassed 200,000 units in fixed orders, signaling overwhelming market enthusiasm.
The YU7 comes in three variants—YU7, YU7 Pro, and YU7 Max—priced at 253,500 yuan, 279,900 yuan, and 329,900 yuan, respectively.
Built on the design language of the Xiaomi SU7, the YU7 features a sleek, coupe-style silhouette with a closed-off front fascia. The sculpted headlight assemblies integrate C-shaped daytime running lights and air ducts, while the rear includes a split spoiler and a pronounced ducktail, complemented by a full-width tail light.
The new SUV measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase.
One of the YU7's standout innovations is the elimination of a traditional instrument cluster, replaced by a panoramic curved projection display. A micro-projection system embedded beneath the windshield projects essential driving information—including speed, navigation, and battery status—onto a black-coated horizontal strip stretching across the dashboard, offering an ultra-wide 1.1-meter retina-grade display at 108 PPD.
The display system adapts dynamically to driving scenarios: in city commuting mode, it emphasizes real-time traffic and navigation; in sport mode, it visualizes G-force, shifting cues, and more.
Designed for utility, the YU7 features 36 storage compartments with a total cargo capacity of 1,970 liters. Highlights include a 13.7L lockable glovebox, a 5.2L under-seat drawer for rear passengers, a 4.6L refrigerated compartment capable of storing six soda cans, and dual 80W wireless charging pads.
Performance-wise, the YU7 series is built on an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform and equipped with Xiaomi's HyperEngine V6s Plus e-motor. The base YU7 features a single-motor rear-wheel drive system that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.88 seconds, delivering 235 kW of peak power and 528 Nm of torque. The YU7 Pro offers dual-motor all-wheel drive with a 0–100 km/h sprint in 4.27 seconds, peaking at 365 kW and 690 Nm. The YU7 Max pushes performance further, reaching 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds with 508 kW and 866 Nm of torque.
In terms of range, the YU7 and YU7 Pro come with a 96.3 kWh LFP battery, offering CLTC ranges of 835 km and 770 km, respectively. The top-spec Max variant uses a 101.7 kWh ternary lithium battery for 760 km of range.
All trims support ultra-fast charging on the 800V platform, with a peak charging rate of 5.2C. The vehicle can recover up to 620 km of range in just 15 minutes, while charging from 10% to 80% takes as little as 12 minutes.
On the driver-assistance front, the YU7 is equipped with an array of intelligent perception hardware, including a LiDAR unit, a 4D millimeter-wave radar, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. It runs on NVIDIA's Thor automotive computing platform with 700 TOPS of processing power, complemented by a newly integrated four-in-one domain control module and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, fabricated with a 4nm process, enabling advanced and secure assisted driving capabilities.
