Ministry of Commerce Responds to EU's Call for Rare Earth Exports

The EU Ambassador to China has called on China to address the issue of rare earth magnet exports to Europe. The Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has approved a certain number of export applications for rare earth-related items in accordance with the law and expressed its willingness to engage in communication and dialogue on export controls with relevant countries to facilitate compliant trade. He Yadong, the spokesperson for MOFCOM, responded to related questions at a press conference on Thursday, emphasizing that China attaches great importance to the stability and security of the global industrial and supply chains. China is accelerating the review of export license applications for rare earth-related items, has approved a certain number of compliant applications, and will continue to strengthen the approval process. China is willing to further enhance communication and dialogue on export controls with relevant countries and actively promote compliant and facilitated trade.
