CMOC Acquires Gold Mine in Ecuador

CMOC announced the completion of the acquisition of publicly listed firm Lumina Gold, obtaining 100% equity in the Cascabel gold mine in Ecuador. The gold mine is located in El Oro Province, southwestern Ecuador, at an altitude of approximately 1,100 meters, and is situated on the Andean polymetallic metallogenic belt. According to the 2023 pre-feasibility study report, the Cascabel gold mine has a proven resource of 1.376 billion mt of ore, with an average gold grade of 0.46 g/t, containing 638 mt of gold metal. The reserve is 659 million mt of ore, with an average gold grade of 0.55 g/t, containing 359 mt of gold metal, and has an estimated lifespan of 26 years. The transaction was officially completed on June 24, 2025.
