[Mercedes-Benz: Mercedes-Benz to Produce New All-Electric MPV in Fujian] On June 25, at the 2025 Global NEV Cooperation and Development (Shanghai) Forum, the Executive Vice President of Mercedes-Benz (China) stated that starting from 2025, Mercedes-Benz will gradually commence production of the new all-electric long-wheelbase CLA car model exclusively for the Chinese market, as well as a new luxury all-electric MPV based on the VAN.EA platform. Among them, the new all-electric long-wheelbase CLA car model is the first mass-produced model on Mercedes-Benz's MMA platform, equipped with an 800V high-voltage system, a two-speed transmission, and achieving an energy conversion rate from battery to wheel of up to 93%, with an electricity consumption of 12 kWh per 100 kilometers. To accelerate the electrification transformation of light commercial vehicles, Mercedes-Benz will produce the new all-electric MPV based on the VAN.EA platform in Fujian, further enriching its localized product lineup for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
