The market launch marks a significant step forward in the company's One GAC 2.0 global strategy and deepens its commitment to the Thai market.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 24, GAC INTERNATIONAL held a grand launch event in Bangkok for its AION UT, unveiling two versions of the model: the STANDARD and the PREMIUM. The market launch marks a significant step forward in the company's "One GAC 2.0" global strategy and deepens its commitment to the Thai market.

During this year's Bangkok International Motor Show, the AION UT model generated strong market enthusiasm, securing over 4,500-unit pre-orders during the pre-sale period, according to GAC INTERNATIONAL.

Wang Haoyong, General Manager of GAC Thailand Sales Company, stated at the event, "We are actively implementing the 'One GAC 2.0' global strategy. The launch of AION UT is a new milestone that accelerates our 'Thailand Action' plan, advancing comprehensive development across products, intelligent manufacturing, distribution channels, services, and ecosystem.”

He emphasized that GAC is evolving from a "product export" model to a broader "ecosystem export" strategy, aiming to offer global consumers more high-quality, high-value new energy vehicle (NEV) options.

Looking ahead, GAC INTERNATIONAL will continue to drive its "Thailand Action" plan under the "One GAC 2.0" strategy. From January to May 2025, the company recorded a 214% year-on-year sales surge in Thailand. It plans to introduce new models annually in the country and has achieved a 51% localization rate at its Thai manufacturing facility, with the AION UT set to be produced locally within the year.

By the end of 2025, GAC aims to establish an 80-store dealer network in Thailand, fully implementing its proprietary GAC Sales & Service Way (GSSW) five-star standard system. Its energy replenishment network has already deployed 58 charging stations and launched dedicated mobility service centers. Meanwhile, talent development programs through university-industry partnerships are helping to cultivate the next generation of NEV professionals in Thailand.
