The partnership centers on the future deployment of EHang's EH216-S autonomous electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft system across Argentina and the wider Latin American region. Key areas of collaboration include airworthiness certification, localized production, and the development of operational support systems tailored to regional needs.

As the country's leading aerospace manufacturer, FAdeA brings robust engineering and R&D capabilities, a complete aircraft manufacturing infrastructure, and deep-rooted relationships with regulatory authorities. Its proven track record in civil aviation makes it a strong local partner in supporting the large-scale introduction and operation of the EH216-S in Latin America.

Ms. Xiang Jing, Chief Operating Officer for Europe and Latin America at EHang, highlighted the partnership's significance during the signing ceremony: "The collaboration with FAdeA is a major milestone in EHang's global strategy. Together, we aim to build a smart, safe, and sustainable urban air mobility ecosystem in Latin America, leveraging cutting-edge aviation technology to serve the cities of the future. FAdeA's technical expertise and policy alignment make it an ideal long-term partner for us in the region."

FAdeA CEO Julio Manco added:"This agreement reflects FAdeA's commitment to embracing next-generation aviation technologies. We look forward to working with EHang to position Argentina as a key hub for advanced air mobility in Latin America and to modernize the regional aerospace ecosystem."

The signing took place at the prestigious Paris Air Show, one of the world's most influential aerospace industry events. It not only signals strong alignment between the two parties on the future of urban transportation but also highlights the strategic importance of Latin America in the global low-altitude economy. The partnership marks the first major entry of Chinese eVTOL technology into the Latin American market and adds fresh momentum to both companies' roles in the global advanced aviation value chain.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
