On June 23, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued an announcement on the implementation rules for the random inspection and supervision of the quality of 136 products, including electric self-balancing scooters. These rules encompass the implementation rules for the random inspection and supervision of the quality of charging piles for EVs, lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for electronic products, and individual power batteries for EVs. The inspection items in the implementation rules for the random inspection and supervision of the quality of individual power batteries for EVs include over-discharge, charge and discharge, external short circuit, heating, temperature cycling, and compression. The detection items in the implementation rules for the random inspection and supervision of the quality of charging piles for EVs include charging connection control timing, touch current test, insulation resistance test, and permissible surface temperature test, among others.
