Recently, Jinko Solar announced that its independently developed N-type TOPCon high-efficiency PV modules, tested and certified by the third-party authoritative institution TÜV SÜD, achieved a maximum conversion efficiency of 25.58%, setting a new global record for similar modules. Meanwhile, the conversion efficiency of Jinko Solar's 182N-type high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon cells (TOPCon) was tested and certified by the National PV Industry Metrology and Testing Center, achieving a full-area cell conversion efficiency of 27.02%, setting a new record for large-area N-type monocrystalline passivated contact (TOPCon) cell conversion efficiency.
The breakthrough in these two efficiency records was attributed to the company's adoption of multiple advanced technologies on the cell side, including metallization laser enhancement, high-quality emitter passivation, and localized absorption passivated contact. On the module side, it was achieved through the integration of multiple key innovative technologies and cutting-edge designs, such as film patterning technology, SMBB ultra-multi-busbar technology, and reflective film technology. Shortly after releasing the "White Paper on TOPCon Technology and Tiger Neo 3.0 Commercial Solutions" at the 2025 SNEC PV Expo, Jinko Solar once again achieved significant breakthroughs in both cell and module conversion efficiencies, demonstrating the company's strong capability to continuously lead the technological development of the PV industry.
The company expects to complete the upgrade and transformation of over 40% of its capacity this year and form a high-power TOPCon capacity of 40-50GW by the end of 2025. The latest high-efficiency TOPCon capacity can achieve a maximum power of 670W, a module efficiency of up to 24.8%, and a bifaciality ratio of 85%, generating a 10% premium over traditional TOPCon products. Based on the continuous innovation of the mainstream N-type TOPCon technology and the upgrade of existing capacity, the investment is relatively controllable and does not involve new capacity additions, which is conducive to further accelerating the exit of industry capacity, helping the industry to "counter cut-throat competition," and promoting the long-term sustainable development of the industry.
