Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The first AITO M9 vehicle has been delivered to a consumer in Macao, China, marking the official entry of the premium smart SUV into the local market, according to the post released by SERES' Vice President Mr. Kang Bo via its Weibo account on June 23.
"We will continue to deepen our presence in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and use this as a springboard to expand into overseas markets," Mr. Kang stated.
He also revealed that the AITO M9 has been selected as the official reception vehicle for the 2025 Summer Davos forum, which opens in Tianjin on June 24.
Jointly developed by SERES and Huawei, the AITO M9 hit the market on December 26, 2023, with a starting price of 469,800 yuan. The 2025 model, going on sale on March 20 this year, retained the same starting price and achieved a delivery milestone of over 30,000 units within just 74 days.
The 2025 AITO M9 maintains a distinctive family design language. Its front fascia features Huawei's dual-million-pixel intelligent projection headlights and smart interactive matrix lights, reinforcing its identity as a tech-luxury flagship. Measuring 5,230 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,110 mm wheelbase, the model offers a spacious and commanding presence.
Inside, the 2025 AITO M9 introduces the new MagLink Mini rear-seat control screen with magnetic attachment, and is equipped with the upgraded Smart Laser Projector System 2.0, which includes a 32-inch onboard projection screen and an industry-first floating projection window. The model also adds smart privacy glass with adjustable tint via knob or voice control. The in-car refrigerator now features both cooling (0–15°C) and heating (35–50°C) functions via a compressor.
On the tech and safety front, the 2025 AITO M9 now comes with four LiDAR units, including new short-range units for side and rear detection, enhancing situational awareness. It runs Huawei's ADS 3.3 system, capable of point-to-point driver assistance without pre-mapping or parking space restrictions. Additional exterior microphones help detect and respond to emergency vehicles.
Powertrain options include an REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) version powered by the new HG15T engine delivering 118 kW, and a dual-motor BEV (battery electric vehicle) variant producing 160 kW at the front and 230 kW at the rear, with a range of up to 630 km.
Further innovations include Huawei's Xinghe communications system, allowing satellite calls to be made from mobile devices up to 30 meters away from the vehicle. The 2025 AITO M9 also comes standard with a retractable electric tow hook (max towing capacity of 1.5 tonnes) and touchless gesture-activated doors.
