[SMM Magnesium News] A Chinese research team has successfully developed a new-type magnesium-lithium hybrid battery system, utilizing a composite cathode material of Cu2S cubes coated with NiS2 nanosheets (Cu2S@NiS2) and an improved APC-LiCl electrolyte. The battery achieves a high energy density of 330 Wh/kg based on the active material at a current density of 0.3 A/g, maintains a stable specific capacity of 215 mAh/g after 400 cycles at 0.5 A/g, and demonstrates excellent temperature adaptability and C-rate performance.
