






On June 23, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics for January-May. Among them, the installed solar power generation capacity was 1.08 billion kW, up 56.9% YoY; the installed wind power generation capacity was 570 million kW, up 23.1% YoY. From January to May 2025, the newly added PV capacity reached 197.85 GW, with a single-month addition of 92.92 GW in May. Compared to the same period in 2024, there was a surge of 388% YoY.

On June 23, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics for January-May.
As of month-end May, the cumulative installed power generation capacity nationwide was 3.61 billion kW, up 18.8% YoY. Among them, the installed solar power generation capacity was 1.08 billion kW, up 56.9% YoY; the installed wind power generation capacity was 570 million kW, up 23.1% YoY.
From January to May, the cumulative average utilization hours of power generation equipment nationwide were 1,249 hours, a decrease of 132 hours compared to the same period last year. The power supply engineering investment completed by major power generation enterprises nationwide was 257.8 billion yuan, up 0.4% YoY; the power grid engineering investment completed was 204 billion yuan, up 19.8% YoY.
