[SMM Announcement] Notice on Adjustment of Lead Price Names and Classifications

Dear Users:

Hello, recently, SMM is planning to upgrade and adjust the names of some prices in the lead section. The price names that require adjustment are as follows:

Imported Lead Ingot Premium Change to Lead Ingot Import Premiums;

Southeast Asia Lead Ingot Premium Change to Lead Ingot Import Premiums in Southeast Asia;

CIF Premium for Malaysian Lead Ingots Change to Lead Ingot Import Premiums, cif Malaysia;

Vietnam Lead Ingot CIF Premium Change to Lead Ingot Import Premiums, cif Vietnam.

[Lead-Acid Battery Market Update] It was reported that during this year’s Two Sessions, Zhang Tianren, a deputy to the National People’s Congress and Chairman of Tianneng Holding Group, proposed that relevant national ministries and commissions leverage big data to monitor nationwide battery capacity, production, utilization rate, and market demand, and regularly release an overcapacity early-warning index to clearly restrict outdated technologies and inefficient capacity.
