On June 23, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics data for the period from January to May.

As of the end of May, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity stood at 3.61 billion kW, up 18.8% YoY. Among this, the installed capacity of solar power generation was 1.08 billion kW, up 56.9% YoY, and the installed capacity of wind power was 570 million kW, up 23.1% YoY.

From January to May, new PV installations reached 197.85 million kW, with 92.92 million kW added in May alone, marking a significant increase of 105.45% MoM.

From January to May, the cumulative average utilization hours of power generation equipment nationwide were 1,249 hours, a decrease of 132 hours compared to the same period last year. The total investment completed in power supply projects by major power generation enterprises nationwide was 257.8 billion yuan, up 0.4% YoY, while the total investment completed in power grid projects was 204 billion yuan, up 19.8% YoY.
