Tianjin Brunp TEDA Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. (Tianjin Brunp TEDA)was recently incorporated in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA).

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Tianjin Brunp TEDA Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. ("Tianjin Brunp TEDA")was recently incorporated in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area ("TEDA"), according to a post TEDA issued via its WeChat account on June 23.

The new company is a joint venture between CATL and a subsidiary of TEDA Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. ("TEDA Holdings"), with a registered capital of 50 million yuan. The company will focus on developing a comprehensive recycling system for new energy batteries, building integrated processing facilities, managing carbon assets, and promoting green electricity solutions.

As CATL's first major investment project in TEDA, the establishment of Tianjin Brunp TEDA marks a significant deepening of cooperation between CATL and the TEDA. It also represents a concrete step in implementing the strategic partnership agreement between CATL and Tianjin's Binhai New Area and highlights the broader collaboration between CATL and the city of Tianjin.

Leveraging both parties' strengths in R&D, brand influence, and resource integration, the new venture is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting battery recycling in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and across China. The company aims to contribute to the growth of the green circular economy.

Tianjin Brunp TEDA is jointly funded by Guangdong Brunp Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.—a wholly owned subsidiary of Brunp Recycling—and Tianjin TEDA Carbon Asset Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of TEDA Holdings. Brunp Recycling, a CATL-controlled company, focuses on three major areas: recycling, resources, and materials. As one of China's leading battery recycling enterprises, it has established itself as a benchmark in end-to-end power battery recycling technology and is committed to becoming a global leader in closed-loop battery recycling.
