Published: Jun 23, 2025 08:42

On June 15, Ge Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA), along with his delegation, visited JISCO Group for a survey. The delegation visited the JISCO Power Dispatching Center, Dongxing Jiayu New Materials Company, JISCO Production Command Center, Hongxing Stainless Steel Branch of JISCO Group, and the JISCO Group Exhibition Hall, among other places, to conduct on-site surveys and gain insights into JISCO Group's production and operation, industrial development, new product R&D, and technological innovation.

Ge Honglin acknowledged JISCO Group's achievements. He pointed out that in recent years, JISCO Group has made continuous efforts in technological innovation investment, production process optimization, and the "three modernizations" transformation, successfully establishing a more resilient and competitive industrial chain featuring the coordinated development of steel and aluminum, and achieving significant breakthroughs in green and low-carbon transformation. He hoped that JISCO Group would adhere to the concept of green development, strengthen scientific planning, deeply explore its unique advantages in resource endowments and technological reserves, and continue to deepen work in steel-aluminum integration, process optimization, technological innovation, product development, and management efficiency and quality, thereby further gaining a comparative advantage with distinctive characteristics and making new contributions to the high-quality development of China's nonferrous metals industry.

Cheng Zijian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of JISCO Group, provided Ge Honglin with a detailed introduction to the company's historical evolution and its development plans for the next stage. He stated that in recent years, in line with the development requirements of "strengthening leading enterprises, complementing industrial chains, and clustering industries" as well as high-end, intelligent, and green development, JISCO Group has focused on its core businesses and actively promoted work in optimizing production processes, enhancing resource security capabilities, upgrading product structures, and transforming energy structures. This has driven the continuous consolidation of the company's development foundation, the accumulation of momentum for development, the continuous optimization of the development environment, and the vigorous emergence of development vitality. In the next stage, JISCO Group will rely on its energy and geographical advantages to precisely cultivate the new materials industry, seize the initiative in market competition through technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and fully promote the construction of a world-class enterprise.

Wen Yibo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of JISCO Group, and relevant heads from the CNIA and JISCO Group participated in the survey. (Jiu Xin)

Before the holiday, the black chain is unlikely to see a trend-driven market [SMM Steel Industry Chain Weekly Report].
This week, ferrous metals were in the doldrums, with coking coal and coke staging a mid-week rise. At the beginning of the week, financial markets experienced sharp fluctuations, dragging down sentiment in the ferrous chain and leading to a pullback in futures. Mid-week, Indonesia's cut to coke production quotas drove coking coal and coke futures to lead the gains, though the impact was more pronounced on thermal coal, while coking coal's rise was largely sentiment-driven and short-lived. In the latter part of the week, finished products continued their seasonal inventory buildup, and support from the raw material side weakened, causing the entire ferrous chain to pull back. In the spot market, with the Chinese New Year holiday approaching, purchasing activity slowed down further, with end-users only making limited, as-needed purchases at low prices.
