






On June 19, according to the Information Statistics Department of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, the nonferrous metals industry maintained reasonable growth in production overall, with fixed asset investment increasing by double digits.
In May, the actual year-on-year growth of the added value of the nonferrous metals industry above designated size was 7.7% (the growth rate of added value refers to the actual growth rate after deducting price factors, the same hereinafter). From January to May, the actual year-on-year growth of the added value of the nonferrous metals industry above designated size was 7.0%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to the growth rate from January to April, and 0.7 percentage points higher than the growth rate of the added value of the industry above designated size.
By sector, in May, the actual year-on-year growth of the added value of the nonferrous metals mining and dressing industry was 5.1%, while that of the nonferrous metals smelting and pressing industry was 8.1%. From January to May, the nonferrous metals mining and dressing industry grew by 6.3%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points compared to the growth rate from January to April; the nonferrous metals smelting and pressing industry grew by 7.1%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to the growth rate from January to April.
By product, in May, the production of ten nonferrous metals was 6.827 million mt, up 2.9% YoY. Among them, the production of primary aluminum (electrolytic aluminum) was 3.828 million mt, up 5.0%. From January to May, the production of ten nonferrous metals was 33.404 million mt, up 2.8% YoY, an increase of 0.5 percentage points compared to the growth rate from January to April. Among them, the production of primary aluminum (electrolytic aluminum) was 18.590 million mt, up 4.0%, contributing 79.6% to the growth in the production of ten nonferrous metals.
From January to May, the national industrial fixed asset investment grew by 11.6% YoY, while the investment in the nonferrous metals industry grew by 19.9%, an increase of 8.3 percentage points compared to the growth rate of the national industrial investment over the same period. Among them, the nonferrous metals mining and dressing industry grew by 44.0%, and the investment in the nonferrous metals smelting and pressing industry grew by 14.3%.
