According to customs data, the total spodumene imports in May 2025 were approximately 605,000 mt, down slightly by 2.9% MoM. By country, spodumene ore from Australia, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria accounted for 88% of the total: Specifically, lithium ore imports from Australia and South Africa were 371,000 mt and 52,000 mt, respectively, with increases of over 20%. Lithium ore from Brazil amounted to 15,000 mt, down 71.7% MoM. Lithium ore imports from Canada were 3,507 mt, down significantly by 89.8% MoM.
