Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 16, BYD announced strategic partnerships with TELD and Star Charge to accelerate the nationwide rollout of its Megawatt Flash Charging infrastructure, according to a post on an official Weibo account of BYD.

The collaboration aims to promote widespread adoption of ultra-fast charging technology across China, further strengthening the country's new energy vehicle (NEV) ecosystem.

The partnerships follow BYD's launch of its Super e-Platform and the pre-sale debut of its Han L and Tang L models earlier this year in March, where the company unveiled its proprietary Megawatt Flash Charging stations and chargers. The system can deliver up to 400 kilometers of range in just five minutes of charging—an industry-leading benchmark in NEV charging efficiency.

In addition to TELD and Star Charge, BYD's Megawatt Flash Charging ecosystem includes a growing list of strategic partners, such as China Southern Power Grid, Sinopec, Shell Recharge, CEGN, and evking.cn.

In late May, BYD announced further joint initiatives with DiDi-backed Xiaoju Charging and LongShine to build 10,000 and 5,000 Megawatt Flash Charging stalls respectively—totaling 15,000 units. These efforts complement BYD's own target of constructing 4,000 self-operated Megawatt Flash Charging stations, over 500 of which have already been completed, covering more than 200 cities nationwide.
