Announced during the 2025 Paris Air Show, the partnership aims to advance the integration of digital airspace infrastructure, particularly across Europe and Latin America.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese urban air mobility (UAM) pioneer EHang recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ANRA Technologies, a global leader in airspace and mission management solutions for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), according to a press release EHang issued on June 19 via its WeChat account.

Announced during the 2025 Paris Air Show, the partnership aims to advance the integration of digital airspace infrastructure, particularly across Europe and Latin America, supporting the safe, efficient, and scalable deployment of urban air mobility services.

The collaboration marks a milestone between two industry trailblazers. EHang is the world's first company to obtain a type certificate for an autonomous passenger-carrying eVTOL aircraft. Its EH216-S model has also received the first batch of commercial operation permits (OC) from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), enabling routine passenger-carrying flights in multiple Chinese cities.

ANRA Technologies, meanwhile, is a certified U-space service provider by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), with its airspace management platform already deployed across Europe and other international markets to help modernize global unmanned aviation regulatory systems.

Through this partnership, the EH216-S eVTOL and its supporting ground infrastructure will be integrated with ANRA's certified airspace management platform to create compliant system solutions for operations in complex airspace environments. The two companies will jointly explore deployment scenarios, develop advanced air traffic solutions, and build a unified digital ecosystem to support the rollout of UAM services and vertiport networks.

Ms. Xiang Jing, Chief Operating Officer for EHang in Europe and Latin America, commented, "This partnership not only reinforces our continued leadership in aircraft innovation and safe operations, but also reflects our firm commitment to building a global UAM ecosystem. ANRA's expertise in U-space platforms and international compliance makes them an ideal partner as we expand across Europe and beyond."

Mr. Ajay Modha, Head of UK and EU Operations at ANRA Technologies, added, "EHang's EH216-S is the world's first and only autonomous passenger-carrying eVTOL certified under China's full airworthiness framework. Together, we will help drive the next generation of air mobility systems—powered by automation, digital integration, and operational collaboration—towards true scalability."

The two parties will now begin joint technical integration, regulatory coordination, and pilot projects to explore forward-looking pathways for urban air mobility deployment. The collaboration lays a strong foundation for the advancement of global UAM systems and the broader low-altitude economy.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
