[50,000 mt lithium battery recycling project may land in Chongqing] Recently, the platform of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in Qijiang District, Chongqing, released the acceptance announcement for the new energy vehicle (NEV) battery recycling and comprehensive utilization project of Chongqing Lvjin Renewable Resources Comprehensive Utilization Co., Ltd. The project involves the comprehensive utilization of 50,000 mt of end-of-life lithium batteries from NEVs, including 10,000 mt of scrap ternary lithium batteries and 40,000 mt of scrap LFP batteries. The products after comprehensive treatment include 12,000t of lithium batteries, 3,336t of lithium carbonate, 1,954.25t of manganese sulphate, 2,157.21t of cobalt sulphate, 5,052.07t of nickel sulphate, and 7,140.33t of sodium sulphate.
