SMM Flash: SHFE/LME Zinc Price Ratio Declines Amid Geopolitical Risks and USD Index Fluctuations

Published: Jun 20, 2025 17:40
[SMM Flash News] SMM reported on June 20: This week, the SHFE/LME zinc price ratio declined and oscillated around 8.3, with the import window for zinc ingots remaining closed. Overseas, geopolitical risks escalated rapidly internationally, and the strengthening of the US dollar index put LME zinc under pressure. Mid-week, the US Fed maintained the benchmark interest rate unchanged, with retail sales data for May falling below expectations. As the US dollar index fluctuated and pulled back, the LME zinc price oscillated after its center moved upward.
