Galan Lithium, an Australian company, has recently secured the final critical funding for its Hombre Muerto West lithium mine project in Argentina. The completion of the $70 million financing plan marks the full allocation of funds for the first phase of the project. Located in the high-quality lithium salt lake area of Salta Province, the project is expected to have an annual production capacity of 5,400 mt of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) upon completion. Construction is planned to commence at the end of 2024, with the first batch of output expected in 2025. The current global EV boom continues to drive up lithium demand. As the world's third-largest lithium resource country, Argentina's "Lithium Triangle" region, where it borders Chile and Bolivia, is attracting increasing international capital investment.
