According to foreign media reports, Pensana, a London-listed rare earth developer, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Toyota Tsusho, a multinational subsidiary of Japan's Toyota. According to the agreement, Toyota Tsusho plans to purchase up to 20,000 mt per year of mixed rare earth carbonate from Pensana's Longonjo mine in Angola for a period of five years, with specific prices yet to be negotiated. Toyota Tsusho intends to collaborate with Pensana to establish a new, independent, and sustainable rare earth material supply chain, supported by Toyotsu rare earth India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of its processing plant in India.
