The partnership aims to jointly explore and innovate in new modes of future mobility, with a strong focus on application, infrastructure, and premium user services.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 17, XPENG AEROHT, the flying car company affiliated to Chinese new energy vehicle maker XPENG, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shenzhen Honsan Vehicle Industry Investment Co., Ltd. ("Honsan Group"), marking a significant milestone in both companies' commitment to advancing the flying car industry, according to a post on XPENG AEROHT's WeChat account.

The partnership aims to jointly explore and innovate in new modes of future mobility, with a strong focus on application, infrastructure, and premium user services.

Honsan Group is an emerging industrial conglomerate built on the sales and service of automobiles, motorcycles, and business jets, with a strategic vision extending into both ground and aerial transportation. As a long-time believer in the future of flying cars, the group has already pre-ordered 100 units of XPENG AEROHT's modular flying cardubbed the "Land Aircraft Carrier"establishing itself as one of XPENG's key partners in the sector.

The newly signed agreement outlines three core areas of cooperation:

Development of flying car hubs

XPENG AEROHT and Honsan Group will jointly establish a network of flying car bases across core regions such as Fujian, Guangdong, and Xinjiang. These hubs will serve as take-off and landing sites and integrated service centers, forming the backbone of a nationwide low-altitude air mobility network. The goal is to enable seamless access to flying car services at major tourist destinations and in economically developed areas, bringing the futuristic travel experience closer to everyday users.

  Customized services for premium clients

Targeting high-end customers, the two companies will co-develop personalized services, including customized flight route planning and dedicated service teams. Every element of the experience will be tailored to meet the unique needs of individual clients, adding a layer of exclusivity to the flying car experience.

 Application demonstration projects

In addition to pushing forward deployment of the "Land Aircraft Carrier" model, the partnership will also showcase other XPENG AEROHT products in various use-case demonstration projects. These initiatives will help accumulate valuable operational experience and pave the way for large-scale commercialization. The companies also hope to attract broader industry and investor interest, further fueling momentum in the flying car sector.

XPENG AEROHT Founder Zhao Deli said, "Flying cars are a brand-new category of transportation. We're thrilled to join forces with a strong and experienced partner like Honsan Group. Over the next two to three years, we aim to reach meaningful scale in flying car operations. Additional XPENG AEROHT products will also be introduced in due course, and we believe demand for personal air mobility will grow rapidly in the near future."

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
