Li Qiang visited Xuzhou and Nanjing in succession, going into enterprises, research institutes, engineering sites, trade cooperation platforms, etc., to gain an in-depth understanding of the economic situation. At Jiangsu Huizhi High-end Construction Machinery Innovation Center Co., Ltd., Li Qiang listened to reports on experimental projects and inspected core parts and products. He pointed out that the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the construction machinery industry is the general trend. It is necessary to benchmark against international advanced levels, actively apply technologies such as artificial intelligence and clean energy, and promote industrial transformation and upgrading. It is also important to aggregate industry resources, build a collaborative innovation platform for large, small, and medium-sized enterprises, and promote complementary advantages and mutual empowerment among enterprises. At the Yunlong Lake Laboratory for Deep Earth Science and Engineering, Li Qiang listened to introductions on the progress of R&D of relevant technical equipment, and encouraged everyone to effectively combine technological innovation with industrial demands, promote major original innovations and technological breakthroughs, accelerate industrialisation and market application promotion. At the Nanjing Atomic Manufacturing Institute, Li Qiang learned about the development of atomic-level manufacturing technology, encouraged them to anchor new fields and new tracks, strengthen forward-looking layouts, conduct in-depth basic research, promote interdisciplinary cross-integration innovation and open cooperation, and seize the commanding heights of future technology and industrial development.

Li Qiang visited the project site of Nanjing North Railway Station, learned about the planning and design, construction progress, took a distant view of the construction site in progress, and held a discussion with project leaders, etc. He required high standards in advancing the project construction, actively exploring the application of new materials and new technologies, planning supporting facilities and industrial layouts well, and giving full play to the project's radiation and driving role. He emphasized that quality is of utmost importance, and every link must be controlled with the requirements of a century-long project to ensure engineering quality. At BSH Home Appliances (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Li Qiang learned about the enterprise's technological R&D and market expansion, inquired in detail about the effects of the "trade-in" policy for consumer goods, and hoped that they would make good use of relevant policies, develop more high-grade products and services around new user demands, and further release consumption potential. He said that China has a huge and growing market, and welcomes enterprises from all countries to invest and do business in China. At the Jiangsu Central Asia Center, Li Qiang listened to reports on platform operation, inspected product displays, and inquired in detail about the economic and trade cooperation between China and Central Asian countries. He emphasized that open cooperation is the only way to achieve win-win development. We should better leverage the roles of the China-Europe Railway Express, cross-border e-commerce, etc., strengthen economic and trade exchanges, broaden cooperation areas, and promote mutual benefit in the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Li Qiang pointed out that Jiangsu has a solid economic foundation and strong capabilities, and also faces higher development requirements.
