Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 16, RoboSense, a Chinese AI-driven robotics technology company, announced the delivery of its one millionth automotive LiDAR sensor, becoming the first technology company globally to reach this milestone.

Since pioneering the mass production of automotive-grade LiDAR for OEM integration in June 2021, RoboSense has consistently led the market across multiple dimensions—technology innovation, product performance, market adoption, and manufacturing capacity—setting new industry benchmarks and demonstrating strong scalability.

As the automotive industry accelerates its shift toward intelligent mobility, RoboSense has emerged as a global front-runner in the LiDAR sector. In 2019, the company launched the M Platform—the world's first automotive-grade primary LiDAR to achieve large-scale production. It has since become the most widely adopted LiDAR platform globally in terms of deployment across production vehicle models.

With the recent volume production launch of the E Platform—the world's first mass-producible, fully solid-state digital LiDAR—RoboSense has further cemented its technological leadership. It is currently the only company in the industry to have overcome key technical barriers such as two-dimensional addressable VCSEL (vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser), suppression of high thermal expansion effects, and mass production of its proprietary SPAD-SoC. Alongside the introduction of the EM Platform, RoboSense now offers the most comprehensive digital LiDAR product lineup in the industry, marking the beginning of a new era of customizable digital LiDAR solutions.

RoboSense's robust technological capabilities and widespread OEM partnerships have helped it maintain its leadship in the global automotive LiDAR market. According to Yole Group's 2025 Global Automotive LiDAR Market Report, RoboSense holds a 26% market share in the passenger vehicle LiDAR segment in 2024—ranking first worldwide. It is also the top seller of automotive LiDAR sensors globally in 2024 and holds the cumulative ADAS sales crown from 2018 to 2024.

As of the end of March 2025, RoboSense has secured volume production contracts with over 30 global automakers and Tier 1 suppliers, including major players such as Geely, SAIC Motor, GAC Group, FAW Group, and GAC Toyota.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
