Recently, LG Energy Solution officially announced an agreement with Chery to sign a six-year supply agreement for 46-series large cylindrical batteries, with an order size of 8 GWh. Delivery is planned to commence in 2026, with a quantity sufficient to meet the demand of approximately 120,000 EVs. According to South Korean media reports, although the order amount has not been officially announced, industry observers estimate the order value to be around 1 trillion Korean won. It is said that the two companies also plan to expand their partnership to other EV models within the Chery Group.
