On June 16, Dongfeng Nissan announced that its all-electric N7 sedan had secured over 20,000-unit firm orders just 50 days.

Beijing (Gasgoo)-On June 16, Dongfeng Nissan announced that its all-electric N7 sedan had secured over 20,000-unit firm orders just 50 days after its official market launch on April 27. The model lineup comes with five variants, priced between 119,900 yuan and 149,900 yuan.

Designed to resolve the inherent tension between aesthetic appeal and aerodynamic efficiency in BEVs (battery electric vehicles), the N7 showcases Dongfeng Nissan's innovative approach to electric vehicle styling. Despite spatial constraints imposed by the battery pack, the model retains the elegance and dynamism of a traditional sedan.

Inside, the N7 features a wraparound cockpit layout and offers two interior color palettes: a refined light gray, and a dual-tone forest green with snow white, catering to diverse personal tastes. The cabin is trimmed in premium materials—including silky soft-touch surfaces, ultra-fine microfiber suede, classic suede fabrics, and cloud-patterned padding—creating an inviting and sophisticated in-car ambiance.

In terms of performance, the N7 offers two single-motor powertrain options—160 kW and 200 kW, paired with a variety of range configurations—510 km, 525 km, 540 km, 625 km, and 635 km—to accommodate different driving scenarios and user preferences.

On the safety side, all variants come equipped with NTP (No Thermal Propagation) battery packs designed to prevent thermal propagation across cells, along with a robust three-layer composite armor structure underneath the pack. First owners also benefit from a lifetime warranty covering the vehicle's electric drivetrain.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
