The M7 DMH is expected to hit the market in the second half of this year.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Roewe, one of the brands under SAIC MOTOR Passenger Vehicle Company, recently released the first exterior images of its upcoming M7 DMH, a mid-to-large-sized sedan expected to hit the market in the second half of this year. The M7 DMH marks the first mass-produced model developed under the direction of Joseph Kaban, Vice President of Global Design at SAIC Design Center, since his appointment.

The vehicle features a commanding front fascia with a waterfall-style grille, enhancing its premium presence. Its vector light-trail crystal LED daytime running lights inherit the design language of Roewe's Pearl Concept, now paired with a "ROEWE" illuminated breathing logo for added brand recognition.

As for the side profile, the M7 DMH sports multi-spoke alloy wheels that elevate its luxurious appeal, while the 3D floating full-width taillight echoes the design at the front, creating a cohesive look. A more substantial rear bumper further contributes to its robust styling. In terms of dimensions, the M7 DMH measures 4,940mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,510mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820mm.

Under the hood, the M7 DMH is powered by SAIC Motor's fifth-generation DMH Super Hybrid Technology. It combines a 1.5-liter engine optimized for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, delivering a maximum output of 82kW and a peak torque of 135N·m, with a high-efficiency electric motor that produces up to 137kW and a peak torque of 330N·m. The hybrid system boasts a maximum thermal efficiency exceeding 43%, and the battery-powered range is projected to reach up to 150 kilometers under the China Light-duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC).

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
