The new project will encompass several key facilities, including an R&D center, a sales & supply chain hub, a manufacturing & delivery center for the AE200 aircraft, and the headquarters office.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 15, AEROFUGIA, Geely Technology Group's low-altitude economy subsidiary, signed an agreement with the government of Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou city and Hangzhou Low-Altitude Industry Development Co., Ltd. for its East China regional headquarters project, according to a post on AEROFUGIA's WeChat account.

The new project will encompass several key facilities, including an R&D center, a sales & supply chain hub, a manufacturing & delivery center for the AE200 aircraft, and the headquarters office.

Leveraging Hangzhou and the East China region's strengths in artificial intelligence, electronics information, and intelligent connected vehicle industries, the R&D center will focus on smart, integrated solutions for low-altitude aircraft and supporting infrastructures. Key initiatives comprise the development and optimization of operations management systems, upgrades to hardware and software for human-machine interaction, and research into infrastructure technology of vertical takeoff and landing — all aimed at fostering an efficient, vertically integrated industry chain and propelling high-quality growth in Hangzhou's low-altitude economy.

AEROFUGIA stated that its first self-developed strategic product, the AE200 — a fully electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft — has successfully completed key technological breakthroughs and entered the fourth phase of airworthiness certification. The company expects to receive full certification and launch commercial operations by 2026.

As a technology firm specializing in low-altitude mobility solutions, AEROFUGIA has consistently advanced innovation in the R&D, production, operation, and service of eVTOL technologies since its inception, with a commitment to green, low-altitude transportation solutions worldwide.

The AEROFUGIA's AE200 is a six-seat, fully electric, manned eVTOL aircraft that offers a range of advantages featuring safety, cost-efficiency, comfort, and environmental sustainability.

In June 2024, AEROFUGIA officially announced its first "flying car" — the AE200 eVTOL — had completed its first public flight, successfully passing a full series of tests, consisting of full-scale, full-weight, and full-envelope tilt-rotor transitions. This achievement made the company the first in China and the second globally to complete such comprehensive flight trials for an eVTOL aircraft.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
