[Hubei Launches Level IV Flood Control Emergency Response]
Based on the current flood control situation and in accordance with the provisions of the "Hubei Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan," the Office of the Hubei Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters decided to launch a Level IV flood control emergency response at 12:00 on June 18. According to meteorological forecasts, from June 18 to 21, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall will occur across Hubei Province from west to east, with a wide range of precipitation. Except for north-west China's Hubei region, the cumulative rainfall in other areas of Hubei Province will be 80–180 millimeters, with localized areas experiencing 300–400 millimeters. The maximum hourly rainfall intensity will be 40–80 millimeters, indicating a high volume of rainfall and significant disaster potential. From June 19 to 20, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, with isolated torrential downpours, is expected in Wuhan, Xiangyang, Yichang, Jingzhou, Jingmen, Xiaogan, Suizhou, Enshi, Xiantao, Tianmen, Qianjiang, and other locations.
