[SMM: Hong Kong SAR Government Releases Hydrogen Energy Development Strategy] The Hong Kong SAR Government has released the Hydrogen Energy Development Strategy. The strategy includes a series of measures, such as commissioning the first public hydrogen refueling station in Hong Kong this year, launching a pilot program for hydrogen-powered street sweepers, and establishing hydrogen refueling infrastructure across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories by 2027. The government plans to submit legislative amendment proposals to the legislature in the first half of next year (H1) to provide a legal framework for regulating the production, storage, transportation, supply, and use of hydrogen as a fuel. In addition, by 2027 or before, the government also intends to prepare hydrogen energy standard certifications applicable to Hong Kong. The implementation of these initiatives will help drive the development of Hong Kong's hydrogen energy industry and facilitate its integration into the global wave of green energy development.
