GCL Taizhou ESS Power Station Achieves Rapid Grid Connection Successfully

On June 14, an announcement was made on the official account of E-Storage Energy that the 150MW/300MWh ESS power station project of GCL in Gaogang District, Taizhou, had achieved successful grid connection in one attempt. The entire process, from groundbreaking to operation, was completed in just 90 days, setting an industry record for rapid grid connection. The project is located beside Shugang Third Road, Fusha Community, Yong'an Town, Medical High-tech Zone (Gaogang District), Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, covering an area of approximately 22,300 square meters (33.5 mu). The project adopts an LFP ESS solution, connecting to the busbar side of the Jian'an Substation through a 220kV line nearby to achieve efficient grid connection. After becoming operational, the power station will deeply participate in frequency regulation, peak shaving, and renewable energy storage quota leasing services for the Jiangsu power grid, significantly enhancing grid stability, effectively alleviating peak power pressure in the region, and providing solid support for the consumption of new energy and the low-carbon transformation of the power system in Jiangsu Province.
