[Two Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) Power Stations in Ningxia Connected to Grid and Put into Operation] Recently, two long duration energy storage (LDES) power stations in Ningxia—Zaoyuan No. 1 ESS Power Station and Maiduoshan No. 1 ESS Power Station—have been connected to the grid and put into operation in Zhongwei City. Located in Zhongning Industrial Park, Zaoyuan No. 1 ESS Power Station, as the first long duration energy storage (LDES) power station in the Ningxia power grid, has an ESS installation capacity of 400 megawatt hours (MWh), consisting of 40 sets of 5 megawatt (MW)/20 megawatt hour (MWh) energy storage units. Each unit is equipped with a 20 megawatt hour (MWh) battery system and a 1,250 kilowatt (kW) × 4 Power Conversion System (PCS). The power station can achieve a single charge and discharge of 400,000 kWh. Maiduoshan No. 1 ESS Power Station is located in Zhenluo Town, Shapotou District, Zhongwei City, with a construction scale of 220 megawatt (MW)/880 megawatt hour (MWh). The power station can achieve a single charge and discharge of 880,000 kWh.
