The latest data shows that as of June, Baotou City in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region had 2,086 valid rare earth patents. Among them, Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Zone accounted for 1,895 patents, representing 90.84% of the total in Baotou City. Compared with Ningbo City (2,017 patents) and Ganzhou City (1,918 patents), the two major rare earth industry clusters in China, the number of patents in Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Zone is on par with those in these two cities, demonstrating strong innovative capabilities and development potential.

In recent years, Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Zone has focused on resource integration to strengthen the foundation for transformation, on ensuring smooth industrial chains to enhance transformation efficiency, and on fostering innovative models to energize transformation. It has continuously innovated its working methods, accelerating the transformation of patents. It took the lead in establishing the "One-Stop Intellectual Property Service Alliance" in China, and built the "One-Stop Intellectual Property Service Platform for High-Tech Zones," the "Intelligent Recommendation System for Patent Achievement Transformation," and the "Detection and Evaluation System for Innovation Vitality in the Rare Earth Industry," providing intellectual property services such as information retrieval, patent application, and business training for enterprises. It also collaborated with China Patent Development Corporation to establish the first "Global Rare Earth Patent Database" in China, offering a reliable platform for pledge financing, transfer, transformation, and trading of intellectual property. Additionally, it pioneered the evaluation of enterprise patent capabilities among national high-tech zones, systematically sorting out and comprehensively assessing the patent status of enterprises, enabling real-time tracking of patent inventories, identifying benchmarking enterprises, and enhancing quality awareness.

At the same time, Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Zone has closely aligned with relevant policies such as the "Baotou City Intellectual Property Reward and Incentive Measures," actively organizing enterprises to carry out various application processes, stimulating enterprise innovation vitality from multiple dimensions, and fully solidifying its leading position in the national rare earth patent landscape, injecting a continuous stream of new momentum into the transformation and upgrading of the rare earth industry.
