On June 15, the first event of the 2025 New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Rural Promotion Campaign, organized by five departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), was launched today in Rugao, Jiangsu. This year, a total of 124 NEV models have been selected for the rural promotion campaign, surpassing the 99 models in 2024 and exceeding 100 models for the first time. It is understood that this year's NEV rural promotion campaign will strengthen coordination with policies such as trade-in and the improvement of charging and battery swapping facilities in counties. In addition, a number of county-level cities with significant market potential will be selected to host several special events, adopting a "online + offline" sales promotion approach. Meanwhile, various entities involved in NEV production, sales, and financing are encouraged to participate jointly, customizing an integrated sales promotion plan for consumers that combines "car purchase discounts, energy use support, and service guarantees.
