Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 13, YANGWANG, a premium new energy vehicle brand under BYD, officially commenced deliveries of its large-sized luxury sedan, the YANGWANG U7.
Hitting the market in March, the YANGWANG U7 is available in four trim levels with prices ranging from 628,000 yuan to 708,000 yuan. The model is offered with both BEV (battery-electric vehicle) and PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) powertrains, providing flexibility for diverse user scenarios.
The YANGWANG U7's design continues the brand's signature language, featuring the "Time Gate" front lighting cluster, complemented by C-shaped daytime running lights and a horizontal LED light bar. Visual distinctions between powertrains include a narrower light bar on the PHEV version and a wider configuration on the BEV. At the rear, the sedan sports a full-width taillight and an active rear spoiler, enhancing high-speed stability. Customers can choose from four exterior colors: Lunar Silver, Obsidian Black, Argyle Purple, and Fluorite White.
In terms of dimensions, the BEV variant measures 5,265 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,517 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. The PHEV version is slightly larger at 5,360/2,000/1,515 mm, with a 3,200 mm wheelbase, solidly positioning the YANGWANG U7 in the large-sized luxury sedan segment.
Inside, the YANGWANG U7 adopts a wraparound cabin layout with a symmetrical center console, vertical infotainment screen, embedded digital instrument panel, and a passenger-side entertainment display. The interior blends dual-tone color schemes with metal trim accents for a layered visual effect. Two interior color options are available: Brocade Red and Pearl White.
On the driver's assistance front, the YANGWANG U7 is equipped with the "DiPilot 600" ADAS system, which is based on an end-to-end architecture that operates independently of high-definition maps. The system supports nationwide highway driving assistance, including lane change decision-making and overtaking maneuvers. Hardware includes dual NVIDIA Orin-X chips with a total computing power of 508 TOPS, along with 3 LiDAR units, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 13 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, delivering L2+ driver assistance capabilities.
In terms of performance, the pure electric U7 is powered by a quad-motor system producing 1,306 hp, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h. It uses high-performance Blade Batteries supporting up to 500 kW ultra-fast charging, with a CLTC range of up to 720 km.
The PHEV version pairs a 2.0T horizontally opposed engine (245 hp) with the same quad-motor system for a total system output of 1,306 hp. It supports 210 kW DC fast charging, with battery-powered range reaching 200 km and a combined range exceeding 1,000 km.
