According to the SHFE warrant daily report, copper futures warrants increased by 3,484 mt during the day, totaling 36,269 mt. The increase was mainly concentrated in Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces, with Jiangsu seeing an increase of 3,012 mt and Guangdong an increase of 707 mt, while Shanghai experienced a decrease of 235 mt. As the delivery countdown for the SHFE copper 2506 futures contract approaches, the price spread between futures contracts (BACK) for consecutive months narrowed from 360 yuan/mt in the morning session to 230 yuan/mt, before continuing to rise above 350 yuan/mt, and briefly surging to 460 yuan/mt in the afternoon trading session.
