Global Smartphone Production Declines in Q1: Samsung Leads, Apple Drops

Published: Jun 13, 2025 13:35
According to TrendForce data, global smartphone production totaled 289 million units in Q1, a decrease of approximately 3% YoY. Samsung ranked first, with a total production of nearly 64 million units, representing a quarterly increase of about 21%. Apple's total production decreased by 40% quarterly, dropping to 48 million units, ranking second in market share. This was mainly due to the iPhone not being eligible for subsidies in China. Xiaomi's production reached nearly 42 million units, maintaining its third-place ranking and coming very close to Apple.
