Cyclic Materials, a Canadian rare earth element recycler, has announced plans to invest $25 million to establish a commercial rare earth processing plant and R&D center in Kingston, Ontario. The facility will convert 500 mt of magnet-containing raw materials annually into recyclable mixed rare earth oxides, including neodymium, praseodymium, terbium, and dysprosium. The raw materials will be sourced from the recycling plant of Circular Company in Arizona, which separates permanent magnets from scrap products. The Kingston facility is expected to commence operations in Q1 2026, providing Cyclic's partners with recycled rare earths for use in EV motors, wind turbines, and consumer electronics.
