[China's auto sales reached 12.748 million units from January to May]
According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the latest data shows that in the first five months of this year, both auto production and sales increased by over 10% YoY. Currently, China's auto industry is showing a stable and improving trend overall. The data indicates that from January to May, auto production and sales reached 12.826 million units and 12.748 million units respectively, up 12.7% and 10.9% YoY. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 5.699 million units and 5.608 million units respectively, up 45.2% and 44% YoY. NEV sales accounted for 44% of total new auto sales. In terms of exports, from January to May, auto exports reached 2.49 million units, up 7.9% YoY. Among them, NEV exports reached 855,000 units, up 64.6% YoY.
