GAC Group unveils GOVY AirCab flying car in Hong Kong, pre-orders open under 1.68 million yuan

On June 12, GAC Group made a bold debut at the 2025 International Automobile & Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong), showcasing eight models across its GAC, AION, and HYPTEC brands.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 12, GAC Group made a bold debut at the 2025 International Automobile & Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong), showcasing eight models across its GAC, AION, and HYPTEC brands.

Headlining the exhibit was the global premiere of the GOVY AirCabthe company's first mass-produced flying carnow open for pre-orders with a price tag capped at 1.68 million yuan.

Touted as the world's first mass-produced unmanned multirotor aerial vehicle, the GOVY AirCab features a lightweight body composed of over 90% carbon fiber composite and is engineered with multiple layers of safety redundancy across its power, energy, flight control, and communication systems. The model supports 25-minute rapid recharging and intelligent low-altitude obstacle avoidance.

GAC Group plans to begin pilot operations of the GOVY AirCab in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area later this year, with full-scale deliveries slated to start by the end of 2026. Also on display was the GOVY AirJet, another flagship product from GACs advanced air mobility brand GOVY. Complementing the showcase was GAC's third-generation GoMate humanoid robot, which served as an intelligent guide at the booth.

At the event, GAC Group also unveiled its Hong Kong market strategydubbed "Hong Kong ACTION"detailing plans for comprehensive expansion across product lines, sales channels, customer services, energy infrastructure, and mobility ecosystems. The group is pursuing a dual-powertrain strategy, offering both BEVs (battery electric vehicles) and PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicles). Models such as the AION V, HYPTEC HT, and GAC E9 are already available in the Hong Kong market, with the AION UT compact BEV set for market launch by year-end.

Since entering the Hong Kong market in January 2024, GAC Group has established one brand center, seven showrooms, and two after-sales service centers. By 2025, it aims to add another showroom and service center to strengthen its distribution network.

To enhance the customer experience, GAC Group has launched the GAC Owner Appdebuting first in Hong Kongwhich allows users to manage their vehicles remotely while creating a direct digital link between the brand and its customers. The company also plans to install 300 super-fast charging stations across Hong Kong by 2028 and is actively exploring mobility partnerships with local players for its intelligent connected mobility brand ONTIME.

Notably, with the implementation of the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" policy, GAC Group is expanding its service ecosystem to support cross-border usage, offering certification services to ensure seamless vehicle operation between Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
