Fitzroy Minerals has announced the drilling results of its Buen Retiro copper mine project in Chile.
The BRT-DDH022 diamond drill hole deployed in the southwest area of the project encountered 110 meters of oxide ore at a depth of 62 meters, with a copper grade of 1.94% and cobalt content of 0.0416%. Among them, 52 meters of ore was encountered at a depth of 97 meters, with a copper grade of 3.06% and cobalt content of 0.0502%.
The target minerals in BRT-DDH022 are mainly leachable green copper oxide, tenorite, cuprite, and chalcocite.
The ongoing drilling has revealed a large-scale, high-grade ore deposit that extends 4 kilometers along strike and is 1 kilometer wide.
The project is located 57 kilometers southwest of Copiapó, Chile, covering an area of 13,240 hectares.
