On June 11 (Wednesday), the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco) stated that in April, Codelco's copper production increased 20.5% YoY to 114,600 mt.
Codelco is the world's largest copper miner.
Cochilco reported that BHP's Escondida copper mine saw a 31% YoY increase in copper production in April, reaching 128,400 mt. The Escondida copper mine is the world's largest copper mine.
Another major copper mine, Collahuasi, jointly operated by Glencore and Anglo American, experienced a 13.5% YoY decline in copper production in April, with output falling to 36,600 mt.
