






On June 5, the 2025 Indonesia Mining Conference & Critical Metals Summit, hosted by SMM Information & Technology Co., Ltd. (SMM), supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a government supporter, and co-organized by the Association of Indonesian Nickel and Bauxite Ore Producers (APNI), Jakarta Futures Exchange, and China Coal Resource, successfully concluded at the Pullman Jakarta Central Park Hotel in Indonesia.
This conference attracted over 2,500 participants, including 135 guest speakers and more than 40 exhibitors. It received strong support from 25 sponsors, with government attendees encompassing the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, National Economic Council, North Maluku Provincial Government, South Sulawesi Provincial Government, and Indonesia Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency. Additionally, representatives from 55 countries participated in this grand event.
The conference featured one main forum and four sub-forums, namely the Nickel-Cobalt NEV Forum, Southeast Asia Tin Industry Summit, Southeast Asia Coal Industry Summit, and Southeast Asia Aluminum Industry Summit.
Furthermore, multiple industry seminars were held during the conference, covering themes such as "Decoding Indonesia's Nickel-Cobalt Industry Landscape: Strategic Insights from Resource Control to Industry Chain Upgrades," "Solar-Powered Mines: How Solar Energy and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Are Revolutionizing Indonesia's Mining Sector," "Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) Seminar," and "Industrial Training: Battery Innovations Driving Sustainable Green Energy Development."
During the opening speech session of the main forum, Adam Fan, Chairman of SMM, and Komjen. Pol. (P) Drs. Nanan Soekarna, Chairman of the Indonesian Nickel Miners Association (APNI), delivered opening speeches for the conference.

At the main forum, Sherly Tjoanda, Governor of North Maluku Province, shared insights on the topic of "North Maluku: An Emerging Hub for Indonesia's Nickel Downstream Revolution".

At the Southeast Asia Tin Industry Conference, Mrs. Ima Siti Fatimah, Director of the Indonesia Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (CoFTRA), delivered a presentation on the topic of "Trading Pure Tin Ingots through the Futures Exchange".

Additionally, at the main forum, SMM organized multiple rounds of high-profile roundtable discussions, which sparked lively debates on topics such as ESG Standards and Market Expectations: Aligning Global Demand with Indonesian Policies, How Global Metal Exchanges Can Promote Harmonized Multilateral Market Pricing, Green Construction Standards and Visions for the Global Critical Minerals Value Chain, and Visionary Enterprises Charting a Roadmap for the Development of Indonesia's Critical Metals Industry.
