The two sides will jointly accelerate the deployment of charging and battery swapping facilities in communities, industrial parks, and transportation hubs.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 6, 2025, GAC Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("GAC Energy"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of GAC Group, and Guangzhou Suikai Power Energy Corporation ("Suikai Power Energy") held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony at GAC Energy's headquarters, according to a post on GAC Energy's WeChat account.

The partnership aims to leverage the core strengths of both companies. As a leading provider of new energy vehicle (NEV) energy solutions, GAC Energy boasts nationwide capabilities in the construction and operation of charging and battery-swapping networks. Suikai Power Energy, with deep roots in distributed photovoltaic systems, brings extensive resources in grid infrastructure, distribution network construction and maintenance, and integrated energy services.

Drawing on Suikai Power Energy's regional energy infrastructure and GAC Energy's intelligent replenishment ecosystem, the two sides will jointly accelerate the deployment of charging and battery swapping facilities in communities, industrial parks, and transportation hubs. The partnership will also explore innovation models such as integrated solar-energy storage-charging-discharging energy stations and virtual power plants, promoting the convergence of charging networks, microgrids, and energy trading platforms.

This strategic alliance represents a concrete step toward supporting China's dual-carbon goals and aligns with Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City's development plans for the NEV industry. By integrating GAC Energy's leadership in EV charging ecosystems with Suikai Power Energy's experience in regional grids and comprehensive energy services, the two companies will rapidly expand a high-quality, intelligent energy network. Combining Suikai Power Energy's grid resources and site advantages with GAC Energy's technological and operational expertise, the collaboration aims to effectively ease consumer concerns about charging availability.

Additionally, the partnership will explore cutting-edge applications in smart charging, energy management, and vehicle-to-grid integration to enhance the intelligence and efficiency of energy infrastructure. Together, the companies plan to build a deeply integrated "vehicle-charger-grid" smart energy system, delivering a more convenient, efficient, and sustainable energy experience for EV users, while advancing clean energy adoption and optimizing regional energy structures.

To date, GAC Energy has established an energy network spanning 202 cities across 31 provinces in China, operating over 1,600 charging stations, more than 16,000 charging terminals, and 68 battery-swapping stations.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
