Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 9, Zeekr, the premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under Geely Automobile, officially announced the launch of its global energy strategy, marking Hong Kong as the first market to roll out its NEV charging map outside the Chinese Mainland.
According to the company, Zeekr Power has partnered with E-Charge (HK) to bring the Hong Kong charging map online. The network now includes over 170 charging stations with more than 2,300 terminals, covering key commercial districts across the city.
This development follows a statement made by Zeekr Intelligent Technology CMO Guan Haitao on January 7, in which he revealed plans for Zeekr Power to introduce an overseas 800V ultra-fast charging infrastructure. The rollout is scheduled to gradually meet regulatory approvals across markets by 2025, with a goal of establishing 1,000 self-operated charging stalls in partnership with local commercial entities. Initial target markets include Thailand, Singapore, Mexico, the UAE, Hong Kong of China, Australia, Brazil, and Malaysia.
Zeekr emphasized that launching from Hong Kong sets a critical foundation for accelerating its global charging network expansion. The company has already initiated connectivity and infrastructure plans across regions such as Australia and Southeast Asia.
Throughout 2024, Zeekr has aggressively expanded its energy service ecosystem. In addition to building out its own infrastructure, the company has formed multiple strategic partnerships.
In May 2025, Zeekr announced a reciprocal charging network agreement with NIO Power. As a result, users of NIO, ONVO, and FIREFLY vehicles can now locate and access Zeekr Power's charging stations via mobile apps and in-car navigation systems, enhancing the overall user experience.
Also in May, Zeekr Power revealed a collaboration with Shell, integrating 666 Shell charging stations and more than 12,000 premium charging terminals into its network. At that point, Zeekr Power had already integrated over 1.29 million third-party charging terminals across China, achieving full coverage in all prefecture-level cities. This included access to 5,025 highway service areas and 7,448 ultra-fast charging stations with peak power output of at least 360kW per connector.
