Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 10, DEEPAL, a new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under Changan Automobile, announced that its global deliveries have exceeded 500,000 units.

In May alone, DEEPAL delivered 25,521 vehicles across its entire lineup, marking a year-on-year surge of 78% and a month-on-month growth of 27%.

DEEPAL currently offers several models including the SL03, S07, G318, L07, S05, and S09. Among them, the DEEPAL S09 officially hit the market on May 22 this year, with large-scale deliveries initiated in the same month.

As a six-seat large-sized SUV, the DEEPAL S09 is available in five trim levels: Rear-Wheel Drive Max, Rear-Wheel Drive Ultra, Rear-Wheel Drive Ultra+, Four-Wheel Drive Ultra, and Four-Wheel Drive Ultra+ High Edition, priced between 239,900 yuan and 309,900 yuan.

The DEEPAL S09 is the first vehicle equipped with the HarmonySpace 5 smart cockpit system. It features a 21.4-inch 3K ceiling-mounted rear entertainment screen supporting a 16:9 aspect ratio and adjustable tilt angles from 0 to 75 degrees. The infotainment system also includes dynamic panoramic sound, a children's exclusive assistant, customizable scene blocks, and a spatial magic cube function.

The vehicle employs Huawei's Qian Kun intelligent ADS 3.3 driving assistance system. DEEPAL disclosed plans to upgrade the DEEPAL S09 to the ADS4 in the second half of the year. The new ADS4 system, built on the WEWA architecture, will reduce end-to-end latency by 50%, improve traffic efficiency by 20%, enable earlier hazard prediction, and reduce hard braking frequency by 30%, making it increasingly driver-like.

Beyond its current lineup, DEEPAL has announced plans to launch the all-electric L07 sedan and an updated rugged G318 SUV in 2025, further enriching its product range.

The carmaker also aims to open 300 new experience centers next year, focusing primarily on third- and fourth-tier cities. Having already entered Southeast Asia and Middle Eastern markets, DEEPAL plans to enter Europe by the third quarter of 2025 to drive sales growth.

Notably, during the DEEPAL Brand Night event in late May this year, DEEPAL's CEO Deng Chenghao unveiled the “Smart Lead 2030” global strategy, targeting total global sales of 2 million vehicles by 2030, with overseas markets accounting for 35%. The plan also includes launching 30 new models cumulatively by that time.
